Traditionally, lawns were left uncut from autumn until late March, but with the changing climate, it\u2019s beneficial to take advantage of dry weather for a quick trim in late winter to help to control fungal disease by keeping the lawn plants drier <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lawn Mowing in Late Winter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 If the weather is dry, give your lawn a light cut to keep it under control so it does not become to long in the spring this helps control moisture in the lawn to control fungal diseases.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Follow the one-third rule: never remove more than a third of the total grass blade length to avoid weakening the grass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Mowing now helps reduce the risk of fungal diseases like fusarium and dollar
