Many early-flowering plants are starting to bloom, and now is the perfect time to give your garden a boost. Here\u2019s your to-do list for the first week of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Feed Early-Flowering Plants<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Camellias, rhododendrons, and magnolias<\/strong> are making a major effort to produce beautiful blooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give them a feed of <strong>liquid tomato feed<\/strong> (high in magnesium and potash) to <strong>support flower maintenance and plant strength<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. General Garden Feeding<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you haven\u2019t done so already, now is a great time to <strong>feed your entire garden<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply <strong>Growmore fertilizer<\/strong> (a balanced feed) at a rate of <strong>one handful per square meter<\/strong> across your flower beds, hedges, and pots (using a reduced amount for pots).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conifer hedges, in particular, benefit from feeding<\/strong> to maintain their health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Making Natural Plant Supports<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start collecting <strong>hazel stems<\/strong> to make your own <strong>eco-friendly and cost-effective plant supports<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These are ideal for plants like <strong>peonies<\/strong>, and <strong>homemade supports save money<\/strong> compared to expensive metal garden centre alternatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6.
