First cut out any dead, dieased and damaged wood.<br \/>\nRasberries summer fruiting varieties should be pruned after fruiting retaining 6-8  young unfruited canes<br \/>\nAutum fruiting varieties should be pruned to the ground in February then tie the new canes to the wires as they grow in the spring and summer.<br \/>\nBlackcurrants can be pruned between November and March.  Remove one third of fruited branches.  No wood should be more that four years old.<br \/>\nGooseberries should be pruned between November and March, cutting back any new growth produced by the leaders by half, then reduce the side shoots on the leaders to about 4 cm.
