It’s better to water later in the day as the sun is going down.

This is because if you water when the sun is at its hottest the water droplets can magnify the sun’s rays and burn the leaves. In addition to this in warm weather, it’s often better to water one or twice a week giving the plants a complete soaking rather than little and often.

To water plants in hot weather, it is important to make sure that the plants are getting enough water without getting overwatered. Here are some tips for watering plants in hot weather:

Water early in the morning or late in the evening to minimize evaporation.

Use a watering can or a hose with a fine spray to gently water the plants, making sure to moisten the soil without creating puddles or standing water.

Water the roots of the plants rather than the leaves to prevent leaf scorch.

Place a layer of mulch around the base of the plants to help retain moisture in the soil.

Check the soil moisture regularly to make sure that the plants are getting enough water. If the soil feels dry several inches below the surface, it is time to water.

It is also important to make sure that the plants are getting enough sunlight and air circulation, as this can help them tolerate hot weather. If the plants are in pots consider moving them to a location that gets some shade during the hottest part of the day.

How to water plants in hot weather Be careful when watering plants in hot weather as you can do more harm than good.
