Over the Years – <\/strong>\u00a0Conifers have been known over the years to make beautiful hedges as well as a very popular addition to most gardens. During the 70’s and 80’s however Conifer hedges especially the Leyland Cypresses or ‘Leylandi Cypressus’ \u00a0were encountering numerous problems. Since then there has been a rapid decline and in most cases gardeners losing their garden hedges.
\nChanges and the Conifer – <\/strong>A combination of various problems such as change of climate, numerous diseases such as Armillaria Root disease, Diplodia Blight, White Pine Blister to name a few and in most cases old age are killing vast numbers of hedges and Conifers.

\nRestore and Renew – <\/strong>\u00a0Some of these problems affecting the Conifer, if caught in the early stages may be able to be rectified . Removing small brown areas, shaking plants to remove build up of dead leaves and \u00a0feeding inside the plant using general feed throughout the season may prove to be successful and hopefully allow one to save the tree or hedge. However in most cases of Leyland Cypresses it’s often too late and the only solution is to remove and replant a new hedge or tree.
