Sounds impossible but with a little advice from the\u00a0GardenAdvice\u00a0team and the use of the internet it is possible to create a garden for free. If you break down a garden into its key areas and consider each area in turn them you will find that building a garden for free is a very possible goal. First consider the different parts and areas of building a garden<\/div>\n

  • The Design – At\u00a0GardenAdvice\u00a0we run a free garden design service run as a course on line you can team up with one of our designers and together you can create a plan for your garden. The course involves you doing the running around measuring up and taking the pictures to email to use. So it involves a bit of effort on your part but the course is free and you will end up with a first class garden design and \u00a0plan.<\/li>\n
  • The hard landscaping – normally the most expensive part of the garden but with garden styles changing all the time lots of other gardeners have the problem for getting rid of the old slabs \u00a0or paving bricks they have from old garden styles. Rather than pay for a skip our advice is to place them on Gumtree or\u00a0ebay\u00a0as a free give away for collection. So keep your eyes peeled for free\u00a0bargains\u00a0on the Internet you will be\u00a0suppressed\u00a0with what you will find<\/li>\n
  • The planting – When you buy plants from\u00a0GardenAdvice\u00a0or a local garden centre what you are buying in effect is time, most plants you buy are 3 to 4 years old. However in most cases they are easy to\u00a0propagate from cuttings or seeds, rooting directly into your garden boarders in the case of hardwood cuttings from such plants as flowering currants. \u00a0In the case of semi rip stem cuttings\u00a0skimmia\u00a0is a plant easy to root in some of your garden soil and sand placed \u00a0in an old butter or frozen food container on a window sill for 10 to 20 days.<\/li>\n
  • The lawn – note that easy to find free turf, but how says you have to stick with turf or grass. Red and white clover are an alternative to grass and with plants growing all over the place its easy to dig a few up to start a clover lawn, it spreads quickly and in no time you will have a clover lawn that keeps its colour in summer.<\/li>\n
  • Features – the easiest item to find for your free garden, old pots, old\u00a0chimney pots maybe with a crack or two that can be placed so they face a wall or shrub. Just keep your eyes open for items in builders skips, Remember to ask most people will be happy have you take items from a skip as long as you ask.<\/li>\n
  • The garden\u00a0furniture – again\u00a0ebay\u00a0is a great place for finding unwanted garden furniture for other sources free for your garden project this is a great article from Scottish Friendly its all about saving money in the home and where to look.<\/li>\n
  • The garden\u00a0maintenance\u00a0equipment \u00a0and tools – local tips and recycling centres are a great place to find free lawn mowers or garden tools such as spades and forks, often they will need new handles or heads but find a fork with a broken head and another with a broken handle, but them together and you have yourself a free complete fork or spade with a little work and repair.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
