Although some of the apprenticeship covers garden construction and landscaping our apprenticeships are not designed to provide you with these skills.<\/div>\n<div>The Gardenadvice Apprenticeship takes the form of in house training working along side a number of full time employees assisting them and external training leading to a\u00a0recognised\u00a0qualification in horticulture. Our internal training takes the form of a Journeyman scheme where the apprentice sends time in different section of the GardenAdvice organisations. Some short period of overseas travel might be required.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>GardenAdvice Apprenticeship focus on developing the following skills in<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Plants &#8211; in such aspects of\u00a0recognition,\u00a0propagation and cultivation and care<\/div>\n<div>Soil science &#8211; in relation to the cultivation and care of plants in different climates.<\/div>\n<div>Climate science &#8211; understanding how climate can effect different elements that in turn effect mirco\u00a0environments<\/div>\n<div>Conservation &#8211; understanding how different factors and elements can be\u00a0influenced\u00a0to create effective conservation<\/div>\n<div>Environmental\u00a0control &#8211; \u00a0understanding how environments can be\u00a0influenced\u00a0and altered to suit an\u00a0environmental\u00a0objective<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The position of a fully qualified GardenAdvice horticulturist is to assist our viewers, members and clients with advice and assistance on a wide range of horticultural, conservation and\u00a0environmental\u00a0projects ranging from small garden projects to country wide conservation plans normally in relation to plants and conservation issues.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Pay rates<\/div>\n<div>Apprentices under 19 or in the first year of the apprenticeship \u00a32.68 per hour<\/div>\n<div>Apprentices in the second year of apprenticeship under 19 \u00a34.96 per hour over 19 \u00a36.19 per hour<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Plus\u00a0travelling\u00a0expenses from home to place of work, plus care allowance for other expenses.<\/div>\n<div>Clothing and equipment provided<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The current salary range of a full time Gardenadvice horticulturist is between \u00a330,000 to \u00a350,000 per anum<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For Further details click here<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GardenAdvice Apprenticeships are designed to train fully qualified horticulturists to undertake full time posts within the Gardenadvice business after the apprenticeship.
