Hydrangeas fall causality to climate change in the UK

The hydrangea that most English of English garden plant seems to be struggling with the UK record breaking temperatures. With delicate leaves designed to collect the most energy from the available sunlight hydrangeas growing in full sun suffered this summer on the hottest days with many wilting and the leaves burning. As we seem sure to encounter more record breaking temperatures on sunny summer days growing hydrangeas in full sun light become something of the past as they will now be best grown in partial shade under trees or other forms of shade.
