Two Golden Rules To Create A Great Garden.
The two golden rule for creating a garden that works for you is to decide on a style and the feelings you wish the garden to evoke in you and others.
Get these two items right and you will be on your way to creating a great garden. Its a lot harder than it sounds here are a few pointers to get you started
The Garden style – firstly do not limit yourself, it does not have to be a traditional style such as a contempary style or cottage style it can be any style or a mixture of styles for example on your free online garden design course we have helped people create gardens based on Art-Deco styles and Gothic styles. The best way to establish a style is to collected a load of pictures and images of items or styles and try to define why you like or dislike a certain image or item – maybe it has just the right amount of structure for example with lots pots or maybe its the softness of a planting scheme.
The feel of the garden – the hardest thing to do is to define the feel of the garden you wish to create but it is the most important key to getting the garden you want. Try to imaging your ideal feeling when you look or sit in the garden once its finished maybe its an escape after a long day at work or a feeling you had as a child playing in a meadow in the summer. Just try to capture the elements that go together to make the feeling you want to create in your garden.
Our GardenAdvice designers are trained to focus on these two golden rules and the results speak for themselves. Over 50 percent of the gardens we help design and built we would never build for ourselves but thats not the point, the point is our members and client we help design and build gardens for just love the gardens we create for them because we have got the two golden rule right and created a garden thats just for them and thats the great joy in gardening its very individual and with few constraints.
