Notes on garden planting for front border

To help you design the planting or additional planting for your garden or flower borders with your GardenAdvice MyGardenTeam gardener we have created these notes for you. After your input we will draw up the planting plans for you
The brief for the front borders
The brief is the front garden which is mainly a shady area with a slightly acid soil is to using plants that flower early in the year and provide Autumn colour later in the year.
Plus, we need to develop some screening from the road, possibly thickening the existing hedge and screening off the oil tanks in the main. This could be done with holly plants and yew ( taxus baccata )
Style and example pictures
The style of planting will be woodland style with a lot of spring flowers and lots of foliage throughout the summer.

Proposed plants.
Screening – Taxus or yew. Azalea, Rhododendron, lacecap hydrangea. Hydrangea paniculata. Daphne aureomarginata,
Autumn colour – Euonymus alatus, viburnum opulus
Proposed main plants – drumstick primula, primula candelabra, rheum, hostas, bergenia, lilies of the valley, solomons seal, trillium plant,
Bulbs – cyclamen hederifolium, crocus, autumn crocus , dwarf daffodils lilies

Installation of a leaky hose and lots of mulching
