🌱 Borders & Groundwork

• Sweep soil off the weed sheeting (or allow rain to wash it off naturally)
• Secure sheeting by placing bark around the edges
• Reshape the island bed into a kidney shape and add more landscape sheeting
• Continue mulching beds with bark/chips
• In the side border (ground elder area):
  • Lay cardboard (overlapping well)
  • Add ground sheeting (Mypex)
  • Cover with bark/woodchip mulch

• Take softwood cuttings from dahlias as they grow 
  • Cut just below a node
  • Remove lower leaves and place in compost
  • Keep in a propagator or bright windowsill
