Areas of Ground elder in patches of bulbs

Ground elder often grows I patches amount spring bulbs. An ideal solution is to smoother the ground elder in the summer and autumn months with woven landscape sheeting cover with a bark mulch. The sheeting can be removed in January, as the landscape sheeting excludes the light from entering the top layer of the soil it should also delay the growth of the bulbs until the sheeting is removed.
