Lawn improvement 

The lawn’s main problem is surface drainage with the installation of the land drains and over seeding this should solve this problem.

Part of the problem is that the soil on the lawn is destructured however growing new grass seed in the existing lawn this will help to restructure the soil

Simply rake the lawn with a wire rake to create a tilth and overseed with grass seed. As the lawn is being used by your children to play football etc I suggest using Gro-Sure Smart Lawn seed

After raking sow and making sure the area is kept damp for 14 days this might involve watering for 15 mins a day depending on the weather. 

Once we have the new grass established we will oversow with a second application of clover to help the lawn to become harder wearing
