Feed your hedges

for most gardeners and the gardens they look after, hedges are a key and important element forming the structure of the garden and in most cases screening unwanted views such as building or increasing privacy.
90 per cent of GardenAvice clients have never feed the hedges they have, it’s only when they start to fail and holes appear that they start to wonder if they should be feeding them.
A good general practice is to sprinkle some Growmore fertilizer into the base of the hedge in the autumn for it will be washed into the soil with the winter rains. Normally one handful per metre length of hedge should be enough to maintain the health of both conifer and traditional hedges such as privet and beech hedges.
