Add MyGardenTeam to Your Device

Add a shortcut icon to your phone, tablet or computer for quick access to your garden, Elena and your saved advice. You do not need to download an app from a store.

iPhone or iPad — Safari

  1. Open your garden homepage in Safari. If you are viewing it inside WhatsApp or another app, open it in Safari first.
  2. Open the Share menu (the square with an upward arrow). Depending on your Safari layout, open the page menu first and then choose Share.
  3. Find Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, check Edit Actions in the Share menu.
  4. Give the icon a name, such as MyGardenTeam, then tap Add. If offered, Open as Web App is optional.

Android phone or tablet — Chrome

  1. Open your garden homepage in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu and look for Add to Home screen.
  3. Choose Create shortcut, or Install if your browser offers it.
  4. Name it MyGardenTeam and confirm the prompts to add the icon.

The exact wording varies by device and browser. If the option is unavailable, bookmark the homepage or try Chrome outside the app you opened the link from. Chrome’s web app help.

Windows computer or Chromebook — Chrome

  1. Open your garden homepage in Chrome.
  2. Open the three-dot menu, choose Cast, save and share, then Create shortcut.
  3. Enter MyGardenTeam and choose Create.

Your system decides where the shortcut appears. You can also bookmark the homepage for quick access. Chrome’s shortcut instructions.

Mac — Safari

  1. Open your garden homepage in Safari.
  2. On macOS Sonoma 14 or later, choose File → Add to Dock, or use Share → Add to Dock.
  3. Name it MyGardenTeam and click Add.

On an older Mac, save the homepage as a Safari bookmark instead. Apple’s Mac instructions.

Using your garden shortcut

Tap or click the icon whenever you want to visit your garden. The website continues to receive updates. Internet access is needed for Elena and current content, and your normal Elena password still applies. You may be asked to enter it again when opening from the new icon.

Adding the icon is free and does not change your membership. Your device requires you to confirm adding it; this page cannot add an icon automatically.
