Installing water butts

Installing a few water butts around your house on your roof drainage down pipes is a great idea now especially as the climate is changing and we have long periods without rain, then period with lots of rain over a short period. Whilst water butts provide water for plants through the use of a watering can or gravity fed irrigation system they also provide a type of above ground soak away hold water in the event of a quick rain storm allowing it to be released at a slower rate at a later date.
