Do You Have Ailing Dogwood Plants?
Dogwood trees are typically grown for their showy Spring flowers, their peculiar leaf colors and brilliant Winter bark. However the plants are prone to Anthracnose a fungal infection favoured by cool wet Spring and Fall weather but can occur throughout the growing season.
Alas there is no treatment for the disease and eventually the plants or trees will die. Here at GardenAdvice we suggest that you get rid of the trees and look for a new varieties that are disease resistant.Contact your local Extension Agency for confirmation of the diagnosis and once confirmed remove the trees and replace with an appropriate variety.
