I received a Gardenia plant for Christmas which is losing its leaves and flowers.

With regard to your question on your Gardenia plant,it sounds the problem is being caused by a lack of humidity which is essential to Gardenia care. Avoid misting the foliage, though, as leaf spot fungal problems will develop.The soil should be kept uniformly moist,but don’t overwater.A loose, well-drained organic compost is recommended.Stand the pot in a disk of water to help maintain the humidity around the plant.
