Growing Wisteria From Seed Pods.
Growing wisteria from seed pods – First place the seed pods in a garage or a dark cool room for a few weeks to allow them to dry out once they are dry crush the pods to release the seeds. Then sow the seeds in a John Innes compost which is a soil based compost in 75 mm pots two seeds per pot. Then leave the pots outside over winter protecting them from squires and birds. The over wintering is important as this will help break the dormancy period the seeds naturally have, they need some many days cold before they will germinate. Then in the spring if they do not germinate straight away do not give up just keep the seeds sometimes it can take a few months for them to get started.
