Slippy Decking.
Often softwood decking can become slippy due to a of a build up a layer of algae and litchens which become slippy in wet conditions. These are in effect small micro plants feeding on the build up of humids and nutrients on the decking over a period of time. The best course of action is to apply jeyes fluid or decking cleaner available from a builders merchant to the area with a watering can then leave for 3 weeks then pressure wash the area. The jeyes fluid or decking cleaner will kill the moss and lichens making them easier to remove.
Then apply a decking cleaner to the decking every 8 weeks to stop the regrow of the algae and litchens.
