Fruit and vegetables 

Finally, as the weather starts to warm up and the risk of frost passes you can start to think about sowing salad crops and other vegetables. Including Coriander, summer salad leaves and root crops such as beetroot and carrots

Spring pest control

As the weather starts to warm and when the current dry spell ends with some rain the slugs will start to become active so it’s important to plan ahead with some beer traps and slug nematodes

Weed control

As the spring warms and your plants start to grow so do the weeds. Most can be taken care of with mulching but more persistent weeds such as ground elder and bindweed need to be treated with weed killer
