Creating a new lawn

One of the largest gardening tasks with a new garden is to create a lawn. It can be a classical lawn with strips and checkerboard effects and patterns after moving or you can opt for a micro clover lawn which is easy to maintain and more environmentally friendly as it requires less feeding and mowing plus maintains a better colour in hot summer with less rain.
Creating a new lawn from seed is best carried out in the autumn or spring. In weather thats, too hot or cold grass seed will fail to germinate.
