I received a Gardenia plant for Christmas which is lossing its leaves and flowers.

With regard to your question on your Gardenia plant,it sounds as though the problem is being caused by a lack of humidity which is essential to gardenia care.Avoid misting the foliage though,as leaf spot fungal problems will develop.The soil should be kept uniformly moist,but don’t overwater.A loose, well-drained organic compost is recommended.Stand the pot in a disk of water to help maintain the humidity around the plant.
