Planting A Wisteria.
Planting a wisteria is best carried out in the period of the late autumn until early spring. The idea being that the plants roots have time to start to establish before the warmer weather of the summer when the wisteria needs all the roots it has to take up any available soil moisture.Wisteria naturally grow on a forest floor and so enjoy a soil with a high organic matter. So when planting a wisteria add lots of organic mater such as well well rotted farm yard manure or leaf mould. If this is not available try some 6x garden fertilizer or potting compost.
