How do I prune my Callistemon rugulosus.

With regards to your question on your Callistemon rugulosus I would be inclined to cut out a third when danger of frost has passed and then to give it a good feed with growmore(but no more than the advised amount as too much fertiliser can kill plants as they get scorched).If it is a pot feed with a slow release fertilizers like Osmocote.It may well not flower this season but this should rejuvenate it and get it to throw up some growth from further down.You could probably be more ruthless with it but you want to be sure it survives.Then the next season take out another third and the one after take out the last third.There after tidy up immediately after flowering or in the spring when danger of frost has passed.For More information.
