How to care for your hedges

A hedge can be an important part of a property such as a house. Often providing privacy and screening unwanted views and overlooking windows etc
It’s important to maintain your hedge as replacing it can run into thousands of pounds replace
Most people do not feed the hedges they have which is a mistake as feeding your hedging plants is a vital requirement to maintain them.
Over the years you cut them or trim your hedge and this removes energy until the hedge starts to become thinner and will eventually fail to pests and diseases especially conifer hedges
Simply feeding your hedge in the autumn and winter with a handful of growmore fertiliser sprinkled under the hedge, one handful per metre will be enough feed to maintain a healthy hedge
If your hedge is already starting to thin then additional liquid feeds might be needed in the spring and summer.
