GardenAdvice Plant Delivery Guarantee & Delivery
At GardenAdvice, we take great care to ensure that every plant arrives in excellent condition and is ready to thrive in your garden. We work with specialist UK growers and nurseries, allowing us to supply healthy, high-quality plants that are carefully packed and delivered directly to you.
Our Plant Guarantee
All plants supplied by GardenAdvice are inspected before dispatch and are guaranteed to arrive in healthy condition and true to the variety ordered.
As plants are living products, their size, appearance and stage of growth will vary throughout the year. Depending on the season, your plants may arrive in active growth, just coming into leaf, flowering, or dormant during the winter months. This is perfectly normal and is often the best stage for successful planting.
If your plants arrive damaged in transit or you believe there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Where possible, include photographs of both the plants and the packaging so we can investigate quickly.
If there is a genuine problem, we will, at our discretion:
- Replace the plant.
- Supply a suitable alternative if the original variety is unavailable.
- Offer a refund where appropriate.
Our aim is always to resolve any issues promptly and ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase.

When Your Plants Arrive
Your plants may show minor signs of travelling, such as slightly flattened foliage or a little wilting. This is normal and they usually recover within a day or two.
We recommend that you:
- Unpack your plants as soon as they arrive.
- Water them if the compost feels dry.
- Place them in a sheltered, lightly shaded position for 24–48 hours before planting.
- Plant them as soon as practical.
- Water thoroughly after planting and continue watering while they establish.
Seasonal Appearance
Plants naturally change throughout the year, so they may not always resemble catalogue photographs.
Depending on the season, your plants may be:
- Flowering.
- In fresh leaf.
- Young plants establishing for the season.
- Cut back after flowering.
- Dormant during autumn and winter.
These seasonal differences are completely normal and are not covered by the plant guarantee.
Caring for Your Plants
Successful establishment depends on suitable planting conditions and good aftercare.
For the best results:
- Prepare the soil with compost or organic matter where appropriate.
- Water regularly during dry periods.
- Feed plants according to their individual requirements.
- Follow any specific planting instructions supplied with your order.
