GardenAdvice Young Gardeners Projects – Summer 2023

Sunflower Competition: The GardenAdvice sunflower competition invites participants under 16 years old to submit their best drawings, paintings, or photographs of sunflowers. It celebrates the beauty of sunflowers and encourages creativity and skills in gardening, art, and photography.

Seeds For Bees: GardenAdvice is supplying 1000 packs of seeds to create food and shelter for bees. Participants are encouraged to sow the seeds in their gardens to help support garden bees. Guidance and advice on sowing and growing the seeds are provided through the MyGardenTeam service.

Tree Project: GardenAdvice offers the Young Gardeners Tree Project for MyGardenTeam members. Children and grandchildren of members can participate in growing 25,000 trees in the UK . Materials, including pots, compost, and seeds, are provided to grow trees from seed. Participants will learn about seed stratification and creating favourable conditions for tree growth. They will be paid for growing and planting trees, and the planted trees will be cared for and monitored.
