As spring gets underway and the spring flowers come into bloom so do your garden weeds although a lot of them can be controlled by hand weeding and mulching some weeds are more persistent and require different methods of control.

Horsetail or Marestail ( Equisetum arvense )
One of the hardest weeds to control which does not stop at invading your garden borders spreading under tarmac drives and slabbed patios

Bindweed ( Calystegia sepium and Convolvulus arvensis) Although an attractive flower over a season it spread to such an extent that it will choke and smoother your garden plants

Couch grass, Dog’s Grass, Twitch (Agropyrum repens, syn. Elymus repens) Although a difficult weed to control it’s impossible to remove from a garden the weed that is the easiest to control out of our 4 difficult weeds.
